I'm a systems engineer who builds websites for small businesses across Devon & Cornwall.

I started RCM Digital because I saw an opportunity for a more practical approach to small-business websites. Not every business needs a huge website, complicated features and a large agency bill. Sometimes a well-built one-page website with the right information is enough.

You will be involved in each step of the process. I will not move to the next step without your approval.

This varies depending on the project's complexity, scope, and my current availability. Generally, a simple website can be completed within 2-4 weeks, while a more complex site may take 6-12 weeks. A set timeline (including milestone dates) will be set out in the contract prior to work commencing.

This depends on your specific needs and budget. I will work with you to determine the best option for your business, and I will not upsell you something you do not need. I will explain the reasoning behind all recommendations I make, but ultimately the decision is yours.

Each website package includes a custom-designed website with responsive layout, SEO setup and on-page optimisation, domain acquisition, hosting and maintenance for the first year.

Every website I build includes SEO fundamentals from the start. All packages include page titles, descriptions, heading structure, image optimisation and internal linking to make it as simple as possible for search engines to understand your business.

SEO is not a guarantee of a particular Google ranking. Search results depend on many factors outside of the control of any web designer.

Your first year of hosting, domain and maintenance is included with your website package. Before the first year ends, I'll explain the available options for keeping your website, domain and maintenance services active, so you can decide what works best for your business.

Yes, you will need to provide the text, images, and other content for your website. I can help you organize and structure this content for the best results. If you are unable to provide certain content, I can assist with creating it, which will be charged accordingly, with all costs being stated upfront.

Yes. If you request this functionality, I can provide access to a content management system (CMS) that allows you to update specific parts of your website yourself. The level of access can be tailored to your needs. For example, a restaurant might be able to update menus, specials and events, while other changes remain managed by me. I can also provide broader CMS access for clients who want to manage more of their website themselves, depending on the platform and how the website is built.

Yes. You will own your domain name and all the content supplied for your website. The exact arrangements for website files, hosting, CMS access and ongoing maintenance will be set out clearly in the contract, so you know what you own and what access you have.
